Doug is an independent consultant and advisor, writer, speaker, lecturer and Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group.

He has spent his entire career in and around the media business, including 14 years as an Institutional Investor-ranked Wall Street media equity analyst and 12 years at Time Warner/Warner Media, where he ran Investor Relations and was the Chief Strategy Officer of Turner, the largest division.

Doug also writes The Mediator, deeply-researched thought pieces about the future of the media business that are widely read and circulated in the industry.

The through-line of his career is that he helps investors and executives anticipate and navigate change by distinguishing what matters from what doesn’t and distilling it into something actionable.

He is not a futurist. His work is grounded in the very practical challenges of investors seeking returns and executives who must manage change even while balancing the needs of multiple constituencies (employees, investors and customers), combating institutional inertia and running a business.
